My name is Taylor. I'm fifteen. I attend the Punxsutawney Area High School as a sophmore. I'm in standard biology. In my free time i enjoy to hang out with friends, go mudding, go drifting, ride dirt bikes, and party. My favorite color is lime green and my favorite food is mozzarella sticks. 1.My leaf is the red oak.
2.The scientific name of the red oak is Quercus rubra.
3.Organisms that effect the tree are flies, mosquitoes, gnats, ants, blister beetles, and darkling beetles.
4.Provides food or habitat for turkeys, ducks, grouse, quails, pheasants, songbirds, blue jays, titmice, insects, woodpeckers, raccoons, chipmunks, squirrels, deer, bears and other wildlife also rely on red oak acorns for food.
5. Relatives of the red oak are white oak, chestnut oak, willow oak, and water oak. The red oak and white oak both have a reddish tone. All oaks are alike because they all have acorns.
6.Commercial use of the red oak is interior projects, furniture, railroad ties, barrels, and farm equipment.
7.Red oak twigs are greenish brown to reddish brown and smooth when mature. The buds are pointed, light brown, and smooth.
8.The red oak is native of North American, in northeastern United States and southeast Canada. Native to northeastern PA.
Barley

Barley is a cereal grain derived from the annual grass hordeum vulgare.
1. It is grown in Scotland and Africa.
2. Barley has many uses. It serves a major parent in animal fodder, malt for beer, and certain distilled beverages. It is used in soups, stews, and in barley bread of various cultures.
3. Interesting information about barley is that in a 2007 ranking of cereal crops in the world, barley was fourth place in quantity produced and in area of cultivation.
